I think I finally figured out my cooling issues and today, just let the plane climb. I topped out at 14,000ft. In the shadow of Pikes Peak, 14,110ft and 25 miles away. The Jab was giving me about 2600RPM at full throttle at 14K and wasn't running great despite my mixture adjustments. I was showing about 100mph IAS air speed and could still squeeze 100fpm climb rate. I didn't have O2 so I decided to chop and drop back to comply with FARs. Back down at 9000, she screamed at 3000 RPM and 145 mph IAS. A really good day of flying.
