hi all,
was reading over the zenith site, www.zenith.aero, john austin the moderator has a ch-750 with a jab 3300 . hes gone thru 3 vdo resistor type oil senders in 550 hrs. he ordered a swift solid state sensor 100 psi unit $33.65 from spruce. usually when the vdo sensor starts to go you will get some intermittent oil pressure spikes. one reader responded he had only 46 hrs and the vdo started to fail.
the unit looks exactly like the belite fuel sensor that they sell for $249.95...........
this may apply to other engines using a vdo oil pressure sender.

hope this helps......

Hi Mike, I can beat 46 hours. My VDO sensor was faulty at zero hours. The engine had been stored for around 8 or 9 years so there wasn't a warranty replacement. Currently on my third sensor at 385 hours. I'll keep that Swift one in mind though. As for helping, you are one day late with your post. I put in a Spruce order earlier today.
