I have been selling replacement fuel caps for the older style tanks that normally fit the "thermos" style cap, but I recently sent one to a builder in Poland and the filler neck on his fuel tank appears to be at least 1/4" smaller than the cap is designed to fit. The neck on my fuel tank, which came from Sonex kit number 766, is 48mm ID, or about 1.875" and as far as I knew that was the only size up until Sonex changed to the screw cap. Does anyone out there have a tank with a 1.5" or 1.625" filler neck or know when the size changed?
