Hey all...
As you tri-gear builders know, the boot for the nosewheel pushrod is a pain in the butt. The plans specify using fiberglass thread to sew up the boot, but try finding fiberglass thread. Neither ACS nor Wick's carries it. Anyplace I could find it only sold it in several thousand yard rolls for a couple of hundred bucks. I asked Kerry what to use, he suggested safety wire. I tried that, it is not a good idea, there is not enough flex in the wire to allow the boot to move as it needs to.
