After listening to Robbie Culver on episode #5 of Sonex Flight (http://www.sonexflight.com), I decided to add some "content" by making commentary during a basic aerobatic flight yesterday. Though I don't actually see a place for video links at the Sonex Builders and Pilots Foundation web site. Robbie?

We have a YouTube channel Mike. I can try to add this there once I catch up on my real job. :-)

Hey Mike, nice video,

I'm quite pleased to see you are experiencing the exact same thing as I am trying to get your aircraft to fully develop the spin to the right. Like with yours the left is no problem though :-).
Must indeed be related to the direction the prop spins on the VW engines, Are Jabiru people finding the opposite to be true?

Cheers,
Michael

Never really put much thought into it, but my Jabiru Waiex always spins to the right. I've tried to spin left but it just comes out after a half turn.

Opposite turning prop, so that makes sense.

Great video and fantastic flying.

I'm really impressed at the audio quality. Care to share why your audio is so good? I also have the MGL v6, but doubt my intercom is configured as good as yours. There is almost no engine or airplane noise coming through your intercom.

It took a lot of trial and error to get the settings right. From experience, no two installations are the same, so not all of my settings might work for you. Rather than write down all the settings I've taken photo of all my settings. The Vogad settings are the most confusing. I still don't understand them, and MGL are not good at describing the settings (they know what they are trying to say, but can't get it across to non-engineers).

I put my photos on Flickr:

And you can check out Jeff's description of his settings:
