Wow that's interesting. I can't help but wonder how in the world he got that Cessna into his driveway. It doesn't appear that the airport is that close to his house!

The "appearance ticket" photograph reads that he is being pinged for maintaining a shortwave radio tower in the backyard...?
It can be seen in the aerial shot (ha ha good pun eh?)

I'm not intending on starting a whole conversation on this... But I hold an amature radio license, back in the 90's a lot of towers were up, and people started getting NIMBY about radio towers.. Actually a few lawsuits. It was set as precedent and law that at least for amature radio towers... FCC triumphs over local ordinances and its total legal to put up towers. Looks like this community being in NY and all... Is gonna lose on that front.
And if what is written is true, AOPA should help fund his legal expenses. I personally don't see a difference between a boat and an aircraft in a driveway. Both recreational activities are very similar, except boating tends to be 2 dimensional and included plenty of alcohol... Typically. At least mine did back in the late 80's. :)
