I just had to post...I am really excited to have sat in my plane for the first time.
It felt great. The panel/sub-panel came together really well.

The new Turbo engine is conveniently in the back of my VW GTI. The VW is hauling the VW.
The full MGL setup is enroute and will be here this week.

I am starting to feel like this is coming together and can't wait to start the avioncs intall. :D

Nice Josh! I also had a Aerovee VW turbo in the back of my VW GTI Turbo. Did it look something like this?

Ryan, that's so funny. I have the same pic with that box in the same place. It was the only way to get all the boxes to fit.

Congrats Josh, the sub panel looks good and will be a great place for switches, breakers etc. Now you can sit in there and make airplane noises.
Don't hesitate to call for help. Now that I have my ignition sorted I'll come up if you need help with anything. The beauty of the turbo Sonex is that Peoria is now part of the greater Chicago area:-)

Thanks everyone!

Bill, how'd the flight go this weekend? What numbers did you have and at what altitude?

6500 feet, 30 inches MAP, 141 true. 274 statute miles 2 hours take off to landing, little bit of a tail wind most of the way. Trip home was 2 hours and 1 min. but that includes a lot of rain avoidance. going home we had tail winds that pushed ground speeds as high as 165 mph. total fuel burn was 25 gal.
