How do you clean the polishing pads and also the microfiber cloths thar are used with nuvite polish? Absolutely do not want to throw them in my home washer and dryer. Thanks Rick Adler. Waiex 0146

I mixed up a bucket of water and sugarsoap, then soaked and agitated the pads occasionally for a few days.
Rinsed out well with running water and let dry.
Still a bit grey at the end of it but no gunk in the fibres.
No washing machines were harmed in the process.. no errant husbands either

Soak them overnight in a bucket with TSP mixed in. It will take the black polishing grime right out of the pads. Rinse them thoroughly the next day and let air dry.

I asked the same question in the Nuvite booth at Oshkosh. Soak them in a five gallon bucket of warm water and TSP, I use one scoop of TSP powder using the cap off an aerosol paint can as a scoop and half a bucket of water. Let them soak 24 hours and stiring occasionally. Rinse with fresh water. Then I run them through a wash cycle at the local laundromat. After that I let them air dry, this works for the towels and pads and they come out real clean. Been using this method for 3 years now. Hope this helps.

Because I have the cheap pads, I have yet to wash them. Saved all the dirty pads and cloths for when I am motivated to go to the laundromat.

What is TSP? Got it. Trisodium phosphate. Lowes or Home Depot

Can't remember what the letters stand for other than the P is phosphate, but it's an industrial cleaner found at Lowes or Home Depot. Find the section that has all the cleaners (acetone, mineral spirits, etc.) and if you look you'll see a box for TSP. I've followed the same directions as Jim and it does an outstanding job of cleaning up wool polishing bonnets.

For Aussie polishers wanting to wash their polishing gear. Bunnings sell TSP, it is in the paint section, called Tricleanium and in a yellow container. After soaking overnight the Nuvite pretty well dissolves away.
