Hangar Space

Does anyone currently actually SHARE a T-hanger with another Sonex/OneX or other smaller plane?

I would think with the folding wings on the OneX, that it would open up the ability to find indoor hangar space. That is, once the old cars, couches and general junk is moved out of some of the so called "airplane" hangars.

I know the OneX could be trailered back and forth to the house every time you wanted to fly, but in reality, I doubt many people who build them actually do that. Can you even roll it under a standard height two car garage door with the wings up?

Are all you guys who built a Sonex or OneX, or are building one, just crossing your fingers in hopes of finding hangar space?

Is it just a total pain in the ass to find shared space as much as it is a T-hangar by itself?

I know the small town here where I inquired, the guy just laughed. Waiting list.

I own a T and a half hangar. I am renting space for a C182, you have seen it in my pictures. When my Waiex is done I want a smaller renter - another Sonex or maybe a C140 or something. I will cut my rates a bit when I am using more of the prime space.

A Onex with folded wings would definitely fit in my hangar garage door.

We just moved into a 44 ft T-hangar. Two sonex fit very well in it. We can now push the noses into the corners and the tails clear the door. Shop is in the back.

Our previous hangar was a 40ft and we had to stagger them one facing in, the other facing out, wings overlapped. It was a pain to walk between them.
