I had a fuel spill onto my windshield last night and cleaned it up right away, however it has caused the wind shield to craze and small cracks are around the edges and screws. I replaced the wind shield last year for the same reason. Is anyone using a plastic glass other than lexan that is not so temperamental to fuel. With the windshield right next to the fuel fill port something else needs to used. Will Plexiglas work or is there something better that wont be destroyed by a 1 minute exposure to gasoline. This time it was my fault but the last time was a refuel with 100 low lead from a line boy that hit the wind shield and cowl. Last year a replacement was $100, now its $160, that's a lot for a single slip with a fuel can!!!

You should check and see if there is a local retail plastic supplier in your area. I bought a 4x8 sheet of lexan (enough for two windshields) for less than $100 here in KC.
