Another vote for Steve's design, would like to see the Ionic Sonex shape in background just a tad more prominent.

Seems like we have a winner. What's the next step to make it happen?

I'm glad so many of you like the design, it follows the Sonex philosophy of "Keep it Simple"
I am attaching a .pdf file of the sticker in vector format including a cut path for your local sign guy.
Please let them know that you are looking for high quality, long lasting, UV resistant materials for outdoor application.
If you try to save money in this business, you will find the quality goes down faster than the price.
Buying in quantity is a good way to get the unit price down. If you can find out who Sonex gets their decals from,
you might get a good deal from them.

Memorial sticker

Postby Sonex1517 » Fri Jun 19, 2015 3:46 pm

Thanks Steve!

My sole concern here is shipping them. Getting them made seems to be relatively easy.

We don't have the resources in the foundation to ship them.

Any suggestions?

Will the sticker in the PDF be easily readable if placed on polished skin? I'm concerned that it may be too light?

I suggested earlier using a site like cafepress.com. The foundation can setup a free website with them and put the image in the store. The site allows people to buy the sticker in various sizes through the store, it makes the sticker and ships it to the buyer. There is no cost to the foundation or hassle of trying to ship to a hundred different people. The only down side is that it doesn't tie in a donation to a memorial fund. I suggest we do that seperator from the sticker to simplify things.

Could there be two versions? One light, and one dark gray or black? I have a polished plane but decided I'd put it on a painted area (cowl?) so I would not have to polish around it, and it would be more prominent.

Yes Keith you did. And I checked into it (and posted this already). The only way I can think of to do this is making an account, having people log in one by one and order and pay. If this ends up the best method to do it we can. But we may have someone with a better solution.

Any more thoughts on this? It seems to be withering on the vine. I got a couple of good graphics at
https://directdecals.com/
Not expensive and pretty easy to order. If nobody is able to coordinate a single source then I'm just going to order one through these guys. I'll report back on the cost, etc, but just plugging it in online it was about $3.50/sticker if I buy 10 or more. I would be willing to be the one to order a bunch and send out the stickers at cost. I think I would just look at the average 1st class USPS delivery and pick a flat rate. I have PayPal and could get paid that way, but I'd take checks from you fine folks, too :-)
