TOB update. I was having issues with not having holding power of the TOB brakes. I installed them without adjustment.
Turns out, you need to adjust the shims that come with the brakes. I took out one washer per bolt under the springs to bring the pad closer to the disk. As the brake pad wears, you need to remove shims. Its a bit of a puzzle and reassembling is not simple, but doable, need three hands. the result was brakes that hold great on runup and work fine slowing me down trying to make that taxiway I probably shouldn't even try for. I like them better than the noisy Great Plains I replaced.

I bought T O'B brakes for my hummelbird 10 years ago. Haven't had a chance to put them on yet. Thought they were nice little brakes but the suggested weight limit for the airplane was small. Perfect for a hummelbird. I have Aeroconversions brakes for my Waiex. They look good. The tapered roller bearings should stand up to the braking force. Hopefully someday I can have an actual report on both.

Are there instructions somewhere on how to adjust the brakes? I have the TOB setup and so far have been pretty happy with them. The fade isn't nearly a bad as some have mentioned in the past. The only time I have noticed any fade is when I had the RPM set too high and rode the brakes down the taxiway.

I didn't notice any instructions when I received mine. But I'm notorious for just running with scissors. When I had my issues, I emailed TOB and they sent me the sheets. They explained everything.
