We had a Studebaker station wagon with a sliding roof years ago. Great car.

Hi Steve
The thing that made a big difference for me was sealing the TOP of the fuel filler box. The 3 into 1 ensures fumes are in the cowl and without a seal between the top flanges of the box and the cowl itself (or a fully sealed drip-tray) there's a route straight into the lower-pressure cabin.
