3D printable stick grip

I'm thinking when mine arrives I could print handles for my brake levers..once I get the hang if it maybe.

Somewhere else here I posted a flap handle I designed, the same design would work for the brake handle. If you can't find it send me a note and I'll dig it up.

I also printed a flexible 'cup' that closes the filler neck to keep overfill gas from getting in the passenger compartment. It works fine for me (in my not yet flying plane) but is too finicky to print in any sort of volume (because it requires flexible filament which is a PITA to print with). Last night I started making a version that is much easier to print and can be popped into a finished airplane easily.

I have the TAZ6. It's expensive (although I had a price alert from Amazon for a year until it dropped $400 from the list price) but the ability to print things like nylon and polycarbonate has been essential for my Aerovee intake experiment.

Btw - the new prusa should be quite fine with flexible filament, nylon and PC (and the old one was pretty good with those tricky filaments).

+1 to the Prusa recommendation. You can save some money if you buy the kit and build it yourself, and in so doing learn how the thing goes together. If you can assemble a Sonex rudder you can put together one of these. I have a Prusa i3 Mk2S, and the newer i3 Mk3 is even better.

I just ordered an i3 MK3 kit, I had been eyeballing Prusa's website for a while actually since it is a popular printer used to 3D print RC aircraft. Killing two birds at once. Thanks for all the recommendations.

Nope - those are one of the clones (which use Marlin/Prusa software and a general copy of the real thing). The real prusa is way better IMO:

3D printing is a little like crack cocaine....once you take the first hit your hooked for life. In "airplane monetary units" a 3D printer is very cheap...I have a Creality CR-10 (less than $400) and it works great.
