Who’s going to the big show this year? any sonex gatherings planned? Robbie are you planning on attending this year? are we doing a flightline meeting for SBPF?
New notam out for anyone flying in. please read. some new arrival transitions this year.
the result of the madness of sunday arrivals from 2019 and the weather impacts.

i just looked up the eaa website and weekly forum schedules.
Looks like sonex llc has a few items scheduled.
1) july 25 homecoming open house at factory site sunday 10:00am-2:00pm.
2) sonex forum mon july 26 10:00am-11:15am homebuilders. hangar Sonex2TBD
3) sonex forum wed july 28 11:30-12:45 forum #9 Sonex and aeroconversion products
4) sonex forum fri july 30. 11:30-12:45. forum #10. sonex 3TBD
I’m sure the factory will be posting the official release soon if they havent already.
Many things up in the air. will have to see what the state county city health restrictions will require.
be good and safe travels to/from the show.

I plan to be there with my son. We'll be driving up from GA, arriving Sunday, and plan to setup a tent in Camp Scholler. Hopefully we'll meet some of the members here.

My wife and I are going. Going to pull our 5th wheel up there for Thursday night through Sunday late morning. Our first time at AirVenture. Taking my father along too (another first-timer).

Wish it could be for the whole week, but taking what we can get this year.

Also picking up our Sonex-B tail kit on Friday, and touring the Sonex factory on Saturday. Everything after that will be gravy!

I am planning on being there the first part of the week. I may arrive on Friday before it starts. It is amazing but quite a few folks arrive on Friday and it is a good time on Saturday and Sunday. My favorite part of Oshkosh is to be there on Sat and Sun and sit out by the runway and listen to and watch the arrivals.

There is a picnic Wednesday evening at Wayne Daniels’ home.

Unless the Foundation BOD meets and schedules something, I am not aware of any other foundation events.

My 4 year old grandson and I will be there all week starting on the Saturday before. My little buddy, having been to Oshkosh twice before in his short life, has had a countdown calendar going since Christmas. Only 20 hrs flown off my Sonex so far, we’ll be camping. See you there!! Billy

I'll be there all week of course! Lol

Not sure how much I will be at the hangar in the evenings though because they are doing balloon glows almost every night now instead of just Monday so I'll be busy with that. But Michael feel free to reach out if you want to stop by the hangar and chat again!

As long as the weather doesn't look like its going to be another sloshkosh or a repeat of 2 years ago where everyone had to camp on the roads I should be there. If anyone needs something brought back from the factory to the Northeast to save shipping let me know. I am driving out with a large Suburban and have brought back canopies and cowlings for others in the past.

Hi all,
A few topics to go over.
SBPF - the foundation type club. holding a meeting on the flightline oshkosh 21 tue july 27 9am
homebuilt registration . they have a covered patio on the south end of the building
i’ll bring some doughnuts and coffee and name tags.
You do not need to be a member of SBPF to attend . But would love for people to join . As soon as the website is up
and running again.

The SBPF. we need help. Robbie Culver has indicated he will step down. he does not have the time to continue as president. due to covid the board and foundation has not done much the last year and a half.
What is needed most is someone with website experience . We need to get the website back up and running.
contact robbie at. robbie_culver@icloud.com
We need to hold a board mtg soon- maybe zoom.

SBPF - annually at oshkosh ive atteneded the ntsb/faa rountable on safety. only for type clubs. this yrs focus will
be EAB phase 1 testing. i would like one more to attend with me . wear at least a sonex hat or tshirt.
tue july 27 , 2-3pm eaa heritage bldg just south of the main parking lot. it may be moved to a covered outdoor location.

Please see the other post on the annual SBPF picnic at wayne and kathys 7th heaven , east side of wittman airpark.
coincides with the wed nite airshow. bring a chair and bug spray. wed jul 28.
