I hate to bash an aircraft... But I'm going to. I have owned and flown many aircraft and so far the Zodiac 601HD is by far the least favorite. The ailerons a very stiff by design. The upper wing skin is the "hinge" in the standard configuration. The rudder pedals are also very stiff by design and are directly connected to the nosewheel. That means you are not just moving the rudder, you are also dealing with the linkage drag as it penetrates the firewall and overcoming friction in the nose gear strut. At least the plane doesn't need rudder trim since the pedals stay wherever you put them. I had to fly that plane from S Florida to Alabama to deliver it to a buyer. It was the most miserable flight I've ever made. In all fairness, if it had real hinges on the ailerons and was built as a taildragger (eliminating the pedal friction) it might be a different plane. Still, it was pretty slow in cruise even after some aeromods and lightening. It went from 75mph to 95mph.
