B panel size?

Postby colliseumj » Wed Oct 12, 2022 3:28 pm

Assuming a panel blank is included with a kit purchase, is it oversized for modifying as desired or is it a fixed size? Could someone point me to the dimensions of it... Thanks

I don't have the dimensions in front of me but it is already cut to size. It would be just shy of 38" wide as it fits inside the upper longerons. The height is just enough to fit the MGL explorer IEFIS if that helps.

The blank you receive with the kit will be this size. Some builders add an extension at the bottom if they need more room.

I worked on the One Week Wonder panel at Air Venture this summer. We were able to install two big MGL EFIS screens to the standard panel (alone with all the switches, etc).
