OneX MGL Auto Pilot Tests

Hi everyone,

This morning I performed the first flight test of the auto pilot I installed last week. Here’s a video: https://youtu.be/QEDbQCNe08Y

Everything looks good, except the auto pilot isn’t tracking the altitude as well as it should. You can't really tell from the video since the horizon barely moves. I’ll need to adjust the configuration. I did a test (not shown in the video) that required the auto pilot to turn 90 degrees to the left to intercept a course to an airport. That worked well.

Next tests will be to see how well it climbs and descends to a new set altitude.

MGL iEFIS Explorer
Two MGL servos
MGL SP-7 (AHRS is required to drive the auto pilot)
Ray Allen stick grip (right button enables/disables the hold current course and altitude AP function)

Installation time:
Approx 3 hours to fabricate the mounting brackets
Approx 4 hours to mount the servos, and connect power and data bus
