Brake Fluid Reservoir

After getting the master cylinders installed this weekend, I decided to go with the tube setup for the brake fluid reservoir. I use 1/4" ID Teflon tubing and the fluid is visible thru it so it is easy to check on fluid level without removing anything. I have a syringe with a small tube attached that has a 3/16" OD for adding more fluid as needed. I used this setup years ago on my One Design when I got tired of cleaning up brake fluid that leaked out of the reservoir from neg. g. It worked well. A 48" long tube has 2.36 cu. in. volume (if filled all the way, but it wont be for the air space needed) and the individual aluminum master cylinder reservoir assuming 1" dia and 2" tall has 1.57 cu. in. volume. Also, there is nothing to add when filling the system, just stick the tubes in the catch bucket and pump the fluid up from the bottom.
