Build Order Baffle vs. Cowl

I've got the laser-cut baffle kit. On your Sonex, did you put the engine baffles on first, or fit the Cowl? Any thoughts on which order is easier?

Hi Gregg,

You basically have to fit the cowling first and then trim the baffle as needed to ensure a good tight seal between the baffles and the cowling. Unless you have the cowling there to measure, you won't know where to trim the laser cut baffle parts.

Best of luck and take your time. The cowling and baffle fitting is a tedious process but if you take your time and trim a little at a time, it will work out fine!!
