Easy Breezy Cabin Heat-y

Has anybody tried using something like this 12V RV-type heater with an airplane like the Sonex? Seems like it should work. Not sure how much of your electric capacity it would use though.

But still, easier to install than dealing with muffs, SCAT tubes, firewall holes, etc.

Just a thought.

It can't be more than about 150W. If your cockpit is tight enough to heat with a light bulb or two, then try it - but it will suck a lot of power (at least 10A, probably 15A) for not a lot of reward.

I agree, that baby will suck a lot of juice (amperage) out of your battery.
