Sonex or Waiex at Virgnia Airport??

Hey All

I was watching a episode of Airplane Repo last night and they were at a Airport in Virginia, of course they didn't say which one. When they were walking out to Repo a plane I noticed they walked by a hanger that had either a Sonex or a Waiex, I couldn't tell because I couldn't really see the tail..

The Sonex or Waiex was on its wheels, no canopy, wing, cowl, ect was on it and there was a guy standing in there working on it the had a red sweat shirt on with a hat..

Just curious if any one know who this is and wondering if the person that owns that plane knows that they were on Airplane Repo??
