It's basically a small center punch, plus a seat-belt cutter.

Firstly, this discussion is from early 2014, the incident you link to happened later in 2014.

Second, I think we'd all appreciate if you don't make snide remarks relating to a fatal accident. If you read the posts in your link, you would know that the persons involved were very close to many users of this forum.

One Australian Sonex had a forced landing due to an insect plugging the fuel vent. The aircraft flipped when the wheels clipped a small dam wall he was obviously hoping to clear and the bits of shattered canopy didn't present any barrier to the pilot's exit, so that makes 2 out of 2 that we know of.
