Plexiglass cleaning

Postby GWMotley » Sat Nov 15, 2014 9:11 pm

Hello group,
I needed some glass cleaner this weekend but ran out of Plexus that I liked. I tried some Prist cleaner but was less than impressed. As I went around the field to various pilot shops looking for Plexus, one owner of a large Cessna Pilot Training Center, told of a trick he has been using for years. He stated he couldn't afford Plexus for the fleet. He asked around the country's training centers and found a substitute. It is one part Armor All tire cleaner to ten parts water. He said he has used this for years with no detrimental effects at all. I tried it this weekend and it does work well but of course I don't have any long term experience. Just thought I would pass this along for those interested.
