Gariwerd (the Grampians) Victoria, Australia

Gariwerd is a beautiful mountain range in western Victoria. In 2024 I did a motorcycle trip and a short hiking trip to the area. I was hoping to get some good aerial shots of the region but nature intervened in a cruel way. Nearly half of the area was devastated by fires just before Christmas so my aerial shots are not much more than a record of the damage done. My own area was threatened by fires just before Christmas so when we travelled to a distant holiday destination we were wondering if we would have a home to return to. We were lucky. We didn't have the sort of winds that drove the fires in California. Here is a link to my blog: https://www.ansoneng.com/sample-page/sonex-trips/gariwerd-victoria-australia/
Here are before and after shots, not of the exact same areas.

Hi Gordon, the Sonex is going well. I keep trying for perfection in the engine cooling department but haven't achieved it yet. I'll be in the top right corner of the US for a short time in mid March, mainly skiing in NH I hope. I might make it down your way with a little luck.
