Houston airport recommendations
Posted: Mon Jan 02, 2017 11:48 amMy daughter just relocated to downtown Houston. Any recommended GA airports to fly into that would be convenient for her to come pick me up?
Depending on where in downtown Houston she lives the 2 best choices in my opinion are Houston Southwest and West Houston (IWS). The other alternative is Weiser (EYQ) but it's runway is east/west and the prevailing wind here is N/S. Houston Southwest is also east/west, but the runway is very wide and you may be able to find temporary hangar space with Joy Bowden or Jerry Parker at "Texas Taildraggers".
