If you have never heard of either Kyneton or Jamestown it's probably because they are both in Australia and to be fair, pretty small places. Here's a link to my report.

This was an 880 nautical mile round trip from Kyneton, near Melbourne, along the coast to Callington, near Adelaide and then to Jamestown, north of Adelaide. The return trip was via the inland city of Mildura. The south eastern part of Australia is the most densely populated part of the country but even so I crossed some pretty sparsely populated areas. In fact, Mildura marks the edge of the desert.

Here's a link to a more recent trip to Mount Gambier in South Australia. It only takes about 90 to 100 minutes but takes in a couple of interesting geographical features.

Great blogs. Over here, we hear only what's happening in the large cities across the world, so our minds get a little numb about the places we don't even know exist. I was going back and forth between your blog and Apple and Google maps to get a picture in my mind of your experiences. It was very enlightening.
Thanks
Mike

Thanks for the kind words. I don't think I'm going to emulate Kip's 48 states. For a start, we only have six states plus a couple of territories, but I'm hoping to add a few longer trips in the near future.

Peter,
I enjoyed the story also. Even if you don't make all 48 states let me know if you make it to C77. I don't see aux fuel on your list of clever products but I bet you could figure it out!
