Waiex 0162 Trips

I just got back from a trip to Sedona with my wife and she and I shot some video using the iPhone5. There's no great music like some of you guys use, but I hope you enjoy the video of our Waiex flying and the Sedona scenery. The flight was from KRNM to KSEZ and then back with a stop at KHII for fuel.

On the way out there were thunderstorm warnings and severe weather watches in Colorado. San Diego had some weird clouds and we saw lots of rain showers on the way out. We decided that we could always turn around or land so we headed out into the unknown. As it turned out, we dodged a few showers and made it to Sedona. After we landed the weather turned pretty bad with high winds and heavy rain. I was afraid that hail might catch the Waiex outside but it was spared any damage. It was the slushy kind and didn't last long. All day Saturday there were dark clouds around Sedona but it was spared most of the heavy weather. In the morning there were a few showers that blew through (one caught us as were trying to load the plane). It eventually cleared enough to launch with the route home clear as well. I can't say enough about how great this aircraft is and how much fun it is to fly. We have now taken weekend trips together to Vegas, Yosemite, Lake Havasu, and Sedona and are planning more fun trips in the future. I love my Waiex.
