Re: Gear legs

crwallace1 wrote:Has anyone installed Tracy O’Brien gear legs in their B model TD? He says they’re designed for a legacy, but “should” fit a B. Is this a better solution than the standard titanium legs?

I have them on my Super B. They fit.

Re: Waiex B down

This has been said before, but it never hurts to be repeated. Glider training, or even better a rating will make you a better power pilot. It might take some effort but it’s worth it. Many Sonex and experimental accidents happen after engine problems or failure. For many power pilots the first thin...

Re: Waiex B down

Its a situation exactly like this that keeps me from selling my Waiex. I would be devastated if a second owner died in my creation. I'm sure it wasn't the build with such a high time airframe.

Re: Sonex sold to Mark and the employees

I believe Vans Aircraft is an employee owned company. Not sure how that is setup, perhaps a group of employees created an ownership group. However, I think this is now owned by Mark exclusively and not by any other employee. Mark is very level headed and the Sonex brand is in good hands. Congratulat...

Both great movie quotes.

Re: Transponders

I’ve been very happy with Trig 22 transponders. Easy ADSB out if you buy the tn70 gps too. I have them in all 3 of my aircraft.

Re: Sonex High Wing!

Ok, this announcement got me to find this forum. I plans built a Sonex TD / 3300 in 2005-2008, flew it for about 4 years, and moved on. Now I'm more interested in the easier getting in/out aspect of a high wing, and greater headroom sounds good as well. While we're making our preferences known, I'd...

Re: Sonex High Wing!

As much as I would like to see that happen too, Mark was clear that the 2 place jet is coming out before the high wing for multiple reasons. I may have some videos coming out shortly on that and more... (Thanks Mark!) Interesting...Love your vids btw... Thanks! I've been trying to put a lot more ef...
