The Revmaster 2300 is NOT as you say, comparable to the Aerovee; The R2300 is FAR superior in design and MUCH more powerful. The Aerovee is anemic compared to the R2300 because the R2300 puts out an honest 80 HP at low cruise RPM and the Aerovee must turn 3400-3500 to put out 80 HP ( and I doubt even those numbers). I have lots of hours flying both and there is NO comparison. The Aerovee is anemic.
