Insurance Premium Update

Postby pappas » Thu Sep 09, 2021 9:01 am

With all of the talk of increasing insurance premiums this year, I was surprised to get my renewal quote from Falcon insurance Agency and Global Insurance Company. My premium actually dropped $114 from $1349.00 to $1235.00.

Coverage is on a 2018 Waiex B taildragger, Turbo, 1 million liability, 100k passenger insurance, and $60 k hull coverage.

Actually not unhappy with this renewal. Falcon and EAA have always been pretty good to me with insurance.

I got my insurance renewal quote today. Sonex A model tailwheel, 200 plus hours time in type, 1385 total time and 370 tailwheel time.

I have $35,000 hull insurance.

$919 from Global through a local agent.

My most recent quote for liability-only insurance (through Aviation Insurance Resources) was $495/yr for $1m liability, $1k per passenger. 4,900 total time, 40 make/model/tailwheel.

Personal choice, I don't pay to insure hull.
