I am excited to announce that for our next virtual fly-in, John Monnett has offered a virtual tour and review of the latest projects at Sonex Aircraft, LLC.

I am also working on one other presentation from a new avionics offering.

Please join us Saturday May 9th at 1500 central, 2000 Zulu for our next virtual fly in.

We are also purchasing a Zoom license to avoid the 40 minute limit on our meeting.

Hi everyone

Tomorrow’s Zoom virtual fly in will kick off at 1455 central time to allow everyone to settle in as we get started. We bought a license to remove the requirement to limit the meetings to 40 minutes.

After the Sonex factory tour, we will have a presentation from Garmin. We moved the new avionics offering to next week.

Here’s your chance to “visit” the factory in Oshkosh that produces these wonderful kits! I sincerely hope all of you can join us.

Look for the snarky ATIS in the morning. Be sure to have the information in case I need to ask you for it. Same basic rules - no politics, everyone will be muted, and I will be herding cats - um, directing traffic.

Hi Robbie, and Sonex Zoom participants,

Great virtual "get-together" today! Stayed on for the after party and learned a lot there too. Thanks to all who shared...helps us who are still building.

Just wanted to comment about how cool and impressive it is/was that John Monnett actually has been sitting in on (and presenting today) the Zoom sessions. If you study his history in the experimental aviation world, you'd see that he will go down in history as one of the key individuals who helped make flying accessible to many through his vision, and airplane designs. I think we can be glad the Sonex "patriarch" is still wanting to provide products and input to us. It was also good to see him smiling and enjoying sharing. Thanks, John, and our best to you and Betty!
