Tail parts. I have to bend my hockey sticks to finish T011.

Here is my shot at a hockey stick bending tool. I made 2, one with a 1" hole to get it started, one with a 1.5" hole to finish. I bought a 1" piece of black pipe and I have an arbor press.

Getting closer. Unfortunately I bought some 1" black pipe, but I guess that is the ID. I found a piece of steel pipe and an old broom handle that fit in tight, like with a hammer.

I assume you have a press. Looks like you have the right jig. Take it slow. You don't want to overbend. Especially that part.
For what its worth, I bought my kit second hand and the previous builder did the hockey sticks to the previous specs. By the time I installed them, Sonex came out with the modification. It didn't matter. Maybe the new bend fits a bit better, but the original bend was sufficient for tail assembly.

It is ready to go. I am holding off partly because I am tired, and mostly because I want my 12 year old there for the bend. He helped make the tool.

You can see I screwed on some keepers to keep the part and tube aligned with the slot. Overkill? What do you think?

First clecoes! Found some mixed up labeling of left and right parts, plus the holes don't line up great. I posted some questions here, at sonextalk, and with Sonex tech support.

As you know Bryan pieces can bind when using a drill press causing them to spin if not clamped. When not clamped I let the piece rest against the left side of the drill press column to prevent this, if the piece is long enough. For small pieces I use a small table vise to hold the piece. Just keep pressure on the piece until the drill is retracted. Enjoy building with your son, good photos.

Trial assembly of right stab. Root rib seems too short though it measures up right.
