Headset jacks. One set on each side. I am going to wire them cross cockpit, i.e. pilot side jack on copilot side. Then you can plug in your own headset without hurting your back or shoulders.

I screwed them in and tried them. I like this setup.

For those of you who hang your headsets up in the back, I'd like to see your pictures. Trying to decide what to do.

On my panel I added two 4 pole single throw switches so I can swap between the front and rear EGTs/CHTs. The are to the right of the cigarette lighter and slightly above.

Here is one of my brackets.
headset bracket.jpg

It velcroes to the inside of the tailcone.

Here is a view of the copilot headset hung on the pilot side.

They each hang up on their own side.

The black strap velcroes to the outside part of the bracket both to keep the headset captive and to support it.

I didn't have a lot of clearance between the top of the stick and the subpanel. I was considering cutting down the sticks a little. Instead I made this nifty bushing.

It lets most of the button sit inside the stick.

Here it is in the stick. I still have to drill a hole for the wire exit. I have space between my thumb and the subpanel.

I made this on the EAA Chapter 1414 lathe. Need to make another one.

Made #2.
two bushings.jpg

I drilled a hole 7" down from the top and put a grommet in it.
IMG_20200130_221717067.jpg

To get the wires routed, I used a stiff piece of wire like you use to hang a suspended ceiling. Pushed it through the grommet and out the top. Bent the tip around one of the conductors from the 24ga pair and pulled it through. The first attempt pulled the grommet out. Then I made a tool to help the wire turn the corner. I cut the groove with a Dremel. It sits on top of the grommet.

One side done. There will be a service loop on the 45 degree angled part of the stick mount. I've ordered some Deans connectors for the junction here. I've also left some extra wire if needed for maintenance.

EGT & CHT 4PST switches. Will let me switch between front and back cylinders so I can see all 8 temps.

Switches installed.

Terminated wires. These are push-in connectors and I hate them.
crappy connectors.jpg

Here is my TC wire routing.

I checked all the temps through both positions of the switch. I had also rung them out earlier. One of my CHT inputs was not good and I had to mess with it.
heat gun TCs.jpg

For the test I just twisted the ends together. After I run them through the firewall I'll use type K connectors.

I've wired power to all the breakers except the main 25 amp breaker.

Besides my nifty bus bars and jumpers, please be sure and admire my new AN4 crimper pivot.

In the foreground is my battery box so far. In the background is my assistant electrician, home from college for spring break.

He terminated these wires.

I just got my KX155 pins from eBay. They are getting rare.
