This side is done. I have to figure out the hose routing next.

I couldn't get the hoses to work. I made more ducting.

This part has been a pain. I've named it Bryan's Bane.

I did finish the exhaust mount.

Adam came home this weekend. He finished sanding the bondo and started squirting paint.

Progress on Bryan's Bane.

I used AN470AD3 solid rivets where I could, flush 3/32" pops where I couldn't.

Bryan's Bane will be the death of me. I've given up on that approach and am taking a break.

Meanwhile, I've started mounting my nav lights. I have a nifty set of 3D printed mounts courtesy of Kevin H. I think he has the design posted on thingverse. They are for Whelen Orion 600s. Here nutplates have been added and one baseplate screwed on.

Light mounted:

I used the spar wingtip mount rivet line as my vertical reference. They are slid down far enough that I can't see them, but they are not masked by the wingtip when directly above.

I am considering cutting out the outboard tip ribs between the lightening holes, like we do for flap access. That will let me get access to my molex connector through the landing light hole. This way I can depin the connector if I need to remove the light. I have a piece of 1/2" OD poly tubing from the behind the mount through the spar tip to route the wires.

Is your wiring routed aft of the spar?

The mounts are JB welded and riveted on. A little bondo for filleting.

Paint

The wheelpants had some runs, pinholes, and uneven coverage. I ground out the pinholes, filled them with 5 minute epoxy, and wet sanded them.

Wing walk:

Installing wingtip. I put the the molex connector on and mated them before I closed it up.

Buttoned up. I'll test the harnessing out before I rivet anything.

Wheel pants take 2. Probably good enough.
