CFI pilots Waiex

Are there any Waiex pilots that are CFIs in the New York / NJ/ Conn /Pa area. Having a hell of a time finding insurance, after getting our airworthiness certificate. Over a month and can't do 1st flight.

Rick,

Although I understand your desire for a CFI, another option may be the Transition Training Syllabus published by the Sonex Builders and Pilots Foundation. This document provides guidance on using a similar (non-Sonex) airplane to accomplish relevant flight training in preparation for flying your Sonex. Several insurance companies have agreed to use this syllabus when offering policies. If you pair the syllabus with some right-seat Sonex time in a friend's Sonex, you may be good.

The syllabus can be found on the SBPF website (http://www.sonexfoundation.com), and additional details can be found on Episode 46 of the SonexFlight podcast.
