wing-to-fuselage gap

Just completed the wing rigging. Bryan Cotton's method worked like a charm. (Yes, I have drill bushings available)

Now for the root doublers/wing-walk. Based on the gap given on the print (1/32 to 1/16), I don't see any way to get a piece of rubber trim between the wing and fuselage. Even if installed before the wing is attached, it seems the trim would keep the wing too far away from the fuselage.

What are you using, and how much of a gap do you need?

I still plan on tape. Thx Bob for the trim technique!

Any chance you could post a cross-section picture of the Van's seal? Everything I've seen resembles the Piper seal. Thanks.

Here you go. This is ACS rubber, but virtually the same profile as the vans. I used a 4mm gap.

This is what I did on my Onex-not my idea but thought I would share. Used SEM 29372 which is used in auto body repair. Available on Amazon or your local auto paint store. Been working fine for five years now
