That's probably the most direct fuel routing I have seen!

I'm sure you have a plan for the rubbing of the fuel line on the engine mount.

Is that an inline filter?

Kip,
It is an inline filter:

Have some ideas on anti-chafe. The rubber carb mount has more flex than the fuel line.

Edit: I countersunk the outlet end of the filter so there would not be a corner to catch water.

Then obviously you also decided not to monitor fuel flow. I asked a local two time RV builder about a fuel flow meter. He had a lose connection one time and landed immediately because of sudden unusually high fuel flow. He said it saved his life since the fuel was leaking in the engine compartment and was amazed he didn’t have a fire. That was enough reason for me to add one.

And since I had no experience with leaning, I thought it would give me an extra parameter to assure me I was in the advertised range.

Correct, no fuel flow. I don't think it is a super important measurement. The Pawnees and the Arrow I used to fly had them, but nothing else.

Everything you add is another potential failure.

One of the issues I had was my mixture control hit the CDI. So, I made another angle spacer.

The first one was 30 degrees. That was too much so I made a 20 degree one.

It's a miss! Onto the next task.

I did a little video of an interoperability test - mixture, throttle, fuel shutoff.

Brian you are a great experimentalist. Just goes to show if you make enough mistakes eventually you will get it right, you just have to be persistent. I appreciate your sharing of your ideas.

Thanks Don! Also for the record those are all unplanned design features, not mistakes!

Rudder cable exit fairings. Between F and B- I became a true believer in annealing.
