Post a Picture of a Sonex Spotted in the Wild!

Postby Direct C51 » Wed Aug 29, 2018 11:05 pm

The forum has been kind of quiet lately, so I thought of something that might bring up some conversation and perhaps promote a little camaraderie. Post pictures of a Sonex you have recently spotted out in the wild. Obviously not your own, and not a friend's you were going to visit. Let's post pictures of Sonex/Waiex/Onex etc that we just happen to stumble upon. It might be fun to see a picture of your own airplane pop up sometime, but you have to get it out of the hangar and go fly so someone can spot it!

My latest Sonex spotting was Jim Hicke's beautifully polished Waiex at Big Bear City Airport L35. Jim, I'm hangared at Gillespie, we'll have to meet up sometimes. I need some tips on polishing!

Great idea! Too bad I can't directly post a pic here anymore or I would add some.

I was at Triangle North Executive Airport, Louisburg, North Carolina, (LHZ) the other day and there was a Sonex and a Xenos tied down.

It's getting common to see some Sonex out there.

The last time I tried some type of limit had been reached.

At Hilo airport in hawaii for work and saw these. Before the hurricane. Two Sonexes, one looks like a Viking engine

Hey that's ours in the background. :-)

The foreground one does indeed have a Viking.
