Hello everyone, I have finally pulled my finger out and registered instead of just reading everybody else. I've been scratch building a Sonex now for about 4 1/2 years. I'm feeling a little humbled by the gentleman who recently posted his pictures up showing his progress after about 175 hours. My excuse is that I've cut everything out with aviation snips and a black marker pen. ( Old school! ). I've spent abouts 1200 hrs so far and am well into the final 90% part after completing the first 90%. I'm hoping to be in the air by the end of the year time and money permitting.
Thanks Bill, I'll keep husy. Did you fit your turbo right at the beginning or did you install it later? Most importantly how did you go with managing your engine temps.

No, I had a couple of hundred hours on the plane when I upgraded. As for temperatures, they were fine right from the beginning as it was a well broken in engine. The CHT's were better than normally aspirated and were even , something I never had before.
