Forward Fuselage floor

Fuselage floor calls for .032 al. I have a piece of .040 laying around. Think I can use it or wait for my .032 to come in?

I can't think of a reason it would not work. Just extra weight. The longerons are flush with the side skin so there is no concerns there. Grip length of the rivets would be the only other concern I would check to make sure the rivets have enough bite.

1.35 pounds weight penalty but nothing wrong with having a stronger floor. Depends on how keen you are to keep the weight down.

I think you should go for it. 1.35 pounds? Skip lunch some day...

Stiffer floor sounds to me like a good place to put that pound.

Oh. One thing that keeps popping up here is don’t rivet the floor on until the very end. You will need the access many times going forward.
