And a fine Fathers Day weekend to all Sonexers out there. Today, my Onex (SN ONX0153) broke ground and actually flew! What a great bucket list thing to do - build then fly your own airplane. I have to still tweak a couple of items, but got some air time as my dad (and co-builder) watched. I wish I could give more information, but I was busy making sure everything went as planned - several hick-ups, but hey, it's an experimental.
Thanks to my Dad, the crew at his hangar who offered advice either wanted or not, and to Sonex Aircraft for a really cool design. Photos will follow eventually.
I cannot describe how excited, exhausted, and ready for my next 39 hours of Phase One I am.
For those still building, Git er dun!
