Fellow Sonex Pilot (Robert Frost) injured

Postby Oshpilot » Mon Nov 21, 2016 4:31 pm

All, last Saturday morning Sonex Pilot Robert Frost of Spartanburg SC was assisting in the relocation of another airplane when he was involved in an accident. There were no witnesses so not much is know as to what happened. Friends found him outside of the plane unconscious. He is in a Spartanburg hospital with numerous foot and facial injuries as well as a concussion and is slowly being taken out of sedation. I've been in contact with Desiree and while we don't want to publicly publish an address, I can supply you with one for cards and letters of encouragement for his recovery. Email me at wedan444 (at) sbcglobal (dot) net for his address. Keep Robert in your thoughts..

I hate speculation but I wonder if something like this happened? http://www.flightsafetyaustralia.com/20 ... -the-prop/ I am hoping Robert has a speedy recovery.

Hi all, david,
Yep this is what came to my mind to make some sense of this incident. Not sure what type plane, but was thinking hand propping. Better in hindsight to charge the battery, and keep things safe.
In any way we give our prayers to robert for a speedy recovery.

Great News on Thanksgiving from Desiree
Best Thanksgiving news ever!!!

So Robert Frost took the breathing tube from surgery yesterday, out this morning on his own. He has made remarkable recovery this morning and is talking and asking questions and looking at his phone right now. He even remembered the code to open it. — feeling thankful.

Any follow-up word on Robert?

I met Robert at the Crossville fly-in, and had a very entertaining text-chat with him.

Robert, if you see this, or if anyone can relay the message, the "Porpilatypuss Guy" says hi and get well.
