That's good news, Andy. Add a third bolt for peace of mind. It's cheap, wont be visible, and you can sleep well...:)

Yep I'm with Kip...add a third bolt and have the strongest motor mount install around that's perfectly straight!! I'm glad to hear your good news!

Here it is, the fancy super strong extra bolt upper motor mount bracket!
I offset the additional screw about 1/8"...provides additional material on the backside that was in question, but stays well clear from the front of the mount bracket to make sure there is plenty of material there for support. After drilling the holes to full 1/4" size, I realized I probably didn't need the additional screw as Kerry said, but this does provide a nice warm fuzzy. I did the same on both sides. You can see the remains of the sharpie lines I used to measure and center the hole between the original screws.
