ambient temperature inside the cowing

Does anybody have temp probes that measure their cowling temps? I'm just curious what we're subjecting things like the fuel line, Rdac, and other components that might be negatively impacted by increased heat.

I'm also curious about the possible differences between a turbo and non turbo. I understand the turbo in flight runs nice, but once on the ground it could really turn into an oven?

I put an extra OAT probe in my cowl and connected it to my rdac on an aux channel. I see between 120 and 140F.

And one of my EGT probes was measuring the inside of my cowl before it got installed. It was running about 130 deg F on average.

Mine is tie wrapped to the engine mount about mid point.

Mine was in the area of the starter, behind the engine.

Ok thanks, I just purchased a Earthx battery and it warns not to exceed 140 degrees. I would guess that is while energy is being drawn. I am going to put a blast tube to the battery box.
