Here is our tool for locating the drive plate on the flap drive horn. The hole is located 17/32 from one edge, 2 19/32" from the other.

Slow progress lately. Here Adam is riveting the flap drive horns. We actually call them drive horps, as he misheard me when we were building the ruddervators and we thought it was funny.

The teenager stayed home to enjoy his last few days of freedom from school. Here is the left aileron, just need to finish piloting the hinge holes through the skin.

One naked, deburred, ready to polish flap skin. Also one freshly drilled one needing deburring. Amazing how long this stuff takes. But it does get done if you work on it.

Hopefully this is the last sticky paper I have to pull off. Flaps are all deburred.

Lots of tinder was made here. Who would have figured woodworking is a skill helpful when building tin airplanes? This is to polish the skins. On the ruddervators I riveted and then polished. I didn't like that.

It will work like this. The tapered edge of the board lets me polish right up to the trailing edge. I won't get a chance until next week.

Nice video! Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you write "F9" using C-grade?

Edit: Nevermind, I saw what you did... you wrote F9 on the section that hadn't been touched with C-grade yet, for comparison.

Ryan,
That was all F9. I changed pads because tha pad had done the other flap too and it was beat. C will be later, after all flaps and ailerons have seen F9.
