Cabin heat with Jabiru 3300

Postby Sonex1517 » Sun Dec 08, 2019 11:48 am

With the informative and interesting discussion on cabin heat with an AeroVee, several of us were discussing off list cabin heat with a Jabiru 3300.

Has anyone *SUCCESSFULLY* added cabin heat with a 3300 in a Sonex?

Hi Robbie,
I have cabin heat in my Onex with CAMit 2200. I ordered the cabin heat with my engine directly from CAMit and obviously that is not an option any longer. It is hose clamped to the outside of the muffler with an inlet and outlet port- virtually no chance of carbon monoxide entering the system. I have an inlet port on the front of my cowl that provides ram air to the heater and in summer I remove the heater and put a straight piece of tubing between the scat tubing and have cool air. I also have a bypass valve on the firewall, My photobucket is full so I cannot add any pictures here but if you send me a PM with your email, I send a picture.
