3300 fuel flow test

Postby Rick524 » Tue Jul 17, 2018 5:28 pm

I'm doing a fuel flow test and need advice.
I have the nose raised to 15 degrees. My fuel system is, fuel tank to gascolator to stock Jab fuel pump to stock
Bing carb. I pulled the fuel hose to the carb nipple off and set up the catch bowl under it.

1- How much fuel should drain in 1 min?
2- How much fuel should be in the tank to start the test?

Thanks!

You don't use gravity to test fuel flow when the Jabiru mechanical pump is used.

You will need to use the mechanical pump for your test. Spin the motor with the spark plugs removed for a timed period say 10 or 20 seconds then calculate the flow from that. Then the same for the electric pump, if you have one.
