Bottom starter bolt

While working issues deferred to annual, I discovered my bottom starter bolt was very loose. It is a big allen bolt, and you have to remove the intake to get a tool to it. I am considering replacing the allen with a hex head in that location so I can put an open end wrench on it.

If you haven't checked that bolt....

Any evidence of loctite on the threads? Those bolts should be using loctite 242 to keep them from coming loose.

I haven't had it out yet. I think I would have used it, but that was years ago.

I was able to drill the bolts in the kit for safety wire. I don’t have as many hours as you, but it seems to work.

I was thinking of doing the same. I'm sure I used loctite 242 on the bolts, both out of habit and it's in the assembly manual for those bolts.
