Have come up with two more in line fuel filters that may be more to your liking;

Baldwin BF 7850 & BF7863

Similar concept to the Hengst but way way bigger, which should equate to larger filter surface area, so less chance of blocking.

Baldwin advise that both of the above filters are rated at 150 micron.

Further advice on the Baldwin filters - 50 micron - big difference. This difference would change the location of the Baldwin to second filter, with the first taking out mot of the contaminants and the Baldwin doing the final clean up before entering carburettor.

From Randy R Allen, Baldwin Filters Technical Advisor;

"Nylon mesh is generally 200 mesh, which is 75 micron. If the filter uses wire mesh it is generally 100 mesh, which is 144 micron"

Both the Baldwin BF 7850 & BF7863 are nylon mesh, which would make them 75 micron rather than the earlier advice of 150 micron.
